The Sprinter Cargo Van offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The ProMaster EV doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.
When descending a steep, off-road slope, the Sprinter Cargo Van’s optional Downhill Speed Regulation allows you to creep down safely. The ProMaster EV doesn’t offer Downhill Speed Regulation.
The Sprinter Cargo Van’s optional lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. The ProMaster EV doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.
Both the Sprinter Cargo Van and ProMaster EV offer rear cross-traffic warning, but the Sprinter Cargo Van with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert also has Rear Cross Traffic Braking (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The ProMaster EV’s Rear Cross Path Detection doesn’t automatically brake.
Both the Sprinter Cargo Van and the ProMaster EV have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, post-collision automatic braking systems, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and driver alert monitors.
